Singer shares thoughts on divorce

Not all marriages work out and for couples in Arizona divorce is not an uncommon choice. As time goes on, many couples grow apart, develop new interests, or come into conflict with each other. Some may work to reconcile their differences, but this is not always possible. Occasionally divorce is the best option, affording both partners a fresh start and a chance to build themselves a more positive future.

One woman who has been through the trials and tribulations associated with divorce is singer Jennifer Lopez. Although she admits that it was a low-point in her life, she also asserts that she wouldn't change a thing. Ending her eight-year relationship gave her a chance to reevaluate her feelings about various aspects of her life. She feels that her time alone allowed her to get back to herself before entering a new relationship.

The 44-year-old singer has 6-year-old twins with her former husband, whom she divorced in 2012. Her children are a big part of her life and it was their birth that gave her a new perspective on love. When children are involved, it adds an extra dimension to divorce proceedings, as the couple need to decide on visitation rights, custody and whether either will be required to pay child support.

Although the singer resides in another state, her situation offers hope to couples in Arizona. If you and your partner are considering going your separate ways, you will need to decide a number of things, such as how your assets will be split and who will have custody of your children. It is not always the smoothest process, but you do not need to handle it alone. A knowledgeable attorney may be able to guide and help you reach a fair agreement with your spouse.
